SO WHAT IS LAUGHING HATHA YOGA?

                    Laughing "Hatha" Yoga is based on the concept                            "laughter is the best medicine" 

... My classes are MUCH MORE than just Laughter Yoga, I combine fun Laughter with Gentle Hatha Yoga stretching exercises and Proper Breathing techniques. 

WHY?

WELL...Laughing helps to lower blood pressure, reduces stress by up to 75%, and lifts depression. It reduces aches and pains, boosts your immune and digestive systems, stimulates your cardiovascular system and works your lymphatic system. At the same time you get the benefit of your internal organs and glands being massaged. It makes you feel younger and look younger. It gives the muscles of your face, chest and abdomen a great workout. It stimulates your heart rate causes you to breathe more deeply, releases happiness hormones and pain relieving endorphines.

AND...Hatha Yoga is the harmony between your body and mind which is great for good health. It's gentle stretching exercises and learning proper breathing techniques and has many health benefits. It gives your whole body a regular workout which will help boost your immune system while at the same time keeping you fit. Yoga works by getting the blood in your body moving, with gentle stretching of your joints and muscles there's a detoxification of all the body cells and this all takes place by doing some simple movements.  Yoga increases strength, flexibility, concentration, the ability to focus and energy levels. It promotes inner peace, improves balance and coordination, stimulates the digestive system and puts you in touch with your body to better help you determine your body's real needs. Yoga also promotes weight loss!

Each class begins with Laughing Yoga exercises and transforms into Gentle Hatha Yoga poses and Proper Breathing exercises. The class finishes with Savasana, the pose of total relaxation, including a guided meditation and visualization. A perfect end to a perfectly joyous class! Laugh yourself silly, enjoy the benefits of good health, well being and uplifting energy an then into total and complete relaxation...HO HO HA HA HA ...Aaaahhh serenity!

Hi! 

My name is Nancy Hedberg. Alternative therapies and modalities have always been a great interest to me. I started to seek out information and practices in the early 70's. I am a Certified Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master Teacher as well as an Indian Head Massage instructor . I have been practicing Reiki since 1997. I have since trained in AcupressureSwedish MassageLomi Lomi MassageChair Massage, Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Exotic Palm Cane Massage, as well as a host of other modalities including Weight Loss for Women. I received my Hatha Yoga Teacher's Diploma in 2004. I have since incorporated Laughter Yoga into my classes and have created a blend of two wonderful good health modalities...Laughter and Hatha Yoga.... My Yoga classes are called Laughing Hatha Yoga! I offer just a little more than Laughter Yoga, for those who want more from their practice and who would prefer to Laugh in a more intimate group environment. It's okay to feel a little self conscious and my classes allow for that. I also teach Meditation and Visualization, Meeting Your Power Animal & Renewing Your Being. I do workshops for Dream Boarding and hold private sessions for Finding Past Lives and Meeting Your Personal Goals. 

Laughter Yoga was developed in 1995 and it is a two day course that runs anywhere from $200-$400. 

Hatha Yoga was developed in the 15th century and it takes anywhere from weeks to months to years to learn (actually it is a constant and continual learning practice) and it runs anywhere from a few hundred dollars into the thousands of dollars. 

Western medicine focuses on curing you after you have become unwell but the principles in the East are based on prevention being more beneficial than seeking a cure.

WHAT!!! Weightloss?? NO KIDDING!!!!

Whether your main concern is fitness, weight loss or relaxation, Yoga practice offers all if these benefits. While doing some simple routines you will be toning your muscles and burning off any excess fat so it’s a great way of staying in shape. Remember, you are after all a Human Being, NOT a Human Doing!!
